Interior Decoration for the New Office

At Pristine, we are in the process of shifting into a new office. Well, we have already shifted there, but due to hiring a bad contractor, we have moved into a construction site with a functional room for working. Over the last couple of months, the contractor has slowly brought the construction up to speed and now we have fairly decent working space.

The problem with hiring a corrupt contractor is that he skimps on everything to increase his profits. So although the purchases for materials are pretty high, the final quality of material which turns up in the end product is pretty shoddy.

Right from the furnishings to the furniture in the office. The furniture for instance leaves a lot to be desired. Neither is it ergonomic nor is it comfortable!! Now proper furniture for the office makes a hell lot of difference between sitting at the desk thinking for 9-10 hours a day and uncomfortably sitting on a chair trying to work for less than 9 hours a day!!

I took one look at the pieces at thefurnituremarket.co.uk and realized that office furniture does not have to be uncomfortable or impractical. I still wonder why did the contractor or the architect not resort to the internet for “inspiration”. There are several good guides on how to create and furnish the perfect small office. BBC has a great guide on SOHO Offices,

All in all, we finally are going to move into our new offices, a tad shoddy and finally fully functional! The process took longer than usual and it definitely took more money that originally intended and budgeted for, but starting next week we have finally done with the shifting!
